Hello, My name is Michael Tye and I am very excited to begin teaching Physical Education at Spanishburg Elementary. I am replacing Mr. Sparks. I received my bachelor's degree in PE/Health from Bluefield State and Concord College. Besides teaching PE/Health for 14 years, I have, also, coached basketball and baseball at the elementary and middle school levels. Coordinating grants to promote healthy eating habits and games that families can do at home has been something I have been actively involved in. I feel the main goal of this class is student participation in all activities. In order to achieve this goal, I will strive to make sure the activities are safe, fun and every student will be engaged. I live in Princeton and enjoy spending time with my wife, family and Furby our cat. We have three children and three grandchildren. We enjoy sitting on our swing in the evening and riding our four wheeler. My favorite hobbies are playing golf and spending time outdoors. I am looking forward to being a part of the wildcat family.
