Secretary of State Mac Warner presented Montcalm High Seniors with the Jennings Randolph Award. Hunter Lewis and Faith Hodge were named Honorary Secretaries of State. Montcalm is 1 of 30 high schools in West Virginia to earn this award! Congratulations!

BUS INFORMATION for Wednesday, April 24th: Bus 648 will not run this morning. This affects Athens, Pikeview Middle and Pikeview High. It WILL run this afternoon.

Construction and improvement updates! Athens School is continuing to have new windows installed. This week is mostly in the gym area. At Spanishburg, wiring of BARDs (HVAC units) and finishing some hallway ductwork is underway. At Bluefield High, the company installing the new HVAC has spent most nights finishing the control wiring. And at the new Timberwood Elementary, the main entrance was poured, topped the ICF walls in the gymnasium and cafeteria, and worked on the elevator pit.









BUS INFORMATION for Monday, April 22nd. These changes affect Bluefield Primary, Bluefield Intermediate, Bluefield Middle and Bluefield High.

Students that ride 673 and are transported from Princeton Avenue, Grant Street Bridge, and Wayne Street will ride bus 659 with Pam Scott.
Students that ride 673 and are transported from Bland street and Ridgemont in the MORNING will ride bus 663 with Eric Poe.
Students that ride 673 (BMS BHS) and are transported from Ridgemont will ride bus 629 with Doug cook this AFTERNOON.

Bus 676 will be picking up elementary students at their usual stops, and bus

Two members of the WVDE visited Central Office today to talk about the Science of Reading. Brandi Keaton Dyslexia Specialist and Josie Groves Literacy Specialist met with Princeton Primary Principal Kelli Stanley, Oakvale Principal LaCosta Hodges, Special Education Supervisor Shannon Noble, Elementary Supervisors Amber Riffe and Pam Clark, and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Ernie Adkins. A special shoutout to Service Dog Ebony and Emotional Support Dog Oakley!

Ms. Lucas's Princeton Middle School science class has been studying conductors and insulators and how current moves through different properties. They used the Circuit Tile lesson from JASON Learning and made a current with pennies!
