HVAC construction at Athens School!
Mercer County Schools' Construction Update: Athens School's boiler room door was installed and trim work was completed around windows. Boiler work continues at Spanishburg, and the main switch gear has arrived. Aaon units have arrived and been placed on the roof of Bluefield Intermediate until all old units can be removed. Bathroom demo is going on at PSHS and PMS. Bluefield High School is receiving some updated paint. Montcalm High, Lashmeet Matoaka, and Bluefield Middle are getting ready for new window installation. At the new Timberwood Elementary, parapet walls in area B roof have been installed, steel work in area C, rough plumbing delivered, and metal studs for areas A/B delivered.
The MCS Express is set up at Bluefield Primary School today from 11:00-12:30!
The MCA Express is open and located at Mercer Elementary School! They will be there until 12:30. Please bring your children with you!
Mercer School is having a blast early this morning! Hope the rain holds off for these kiddos. Central Office staff may have to join in!
BUS INFORMATION for Thursday, June 6th:
Bus 685 is not running today and affects Spanishburg, Pikeview Middle and Pikeview High ; however,
these students may ride bus 649. This bus maybe about thirty minutes late.
Also, 676 is not running today, and affects Princeton Primary, Straley, Princeton Middle, and Princeton High; however, these students may ride bus 621. This bus maybe about twenty minutes late.
There was a minor bus incident in the Montcalm area on Sandlick Road this morning. A trash truck door swing open and hit the side of the bus. There were no injuries. Students were evaluated by EMS prior to being transferred to another bus and taken to school.

AFTERNOON BUS INFORMATION for Monday, June 3rd: Bus 674 will NOT run this afternoon. This affects Princeton Primary, Mercer, Straley, Princeton Middle and Princeton High.
BUS INFORMATION for Monday, June 3rd: Bus 679 is running about 15 minutes late. This affects Brushfork, Bluefield Middle and Bluefield High.
Amber Riffe, Elementary/Pre-K Supervisor joins various family and children partnerships at the community baby shower to promote early literacy in Mercer County.
Route change for Friday, May 31st
Bus 640, which affects Lashmeet Matoaka, Pikeview Middle and Pikeview High, is not going to run today. However children that live on Bicknal flats and lower part of Reese Harmon ridge will ride bus 636.
Children that live on upper part of Reese Harmon ridge will ride bus 656.
Both 636 and 656 may be late 10-15 minutes due to additional stops.

BUS INFORMATION for Thursday, May 30th: Bus 618 will not run today. This bus transports students to the alternative school.
