Dear Spanishburg School families, We are excited to announce that we are ready to welcome PreK through 5th grade students back into the building after the recent flooding. This marks the culmination of a lot of hard work, and we couldn’t be happier to see everything come together. We will follow the Mercer County Schools schedule.

Dear Spanishburg Families,
Thank you for your continued support. I wanted to provide a quick update regarding our school schedule. We will be following the Mercer County Schedule for tomorrow. We are ready to welcome students in grades K-5; however, please note that there will be no PreK students attending school tomorrow. We are hopeful that PreK students will be able to return by Friday, February 21st.
Thank you for your understanding.

Dear Spanishburg School Families,
Thank you all for checking on the school. How are you? We want to ensure that our entire school family is doing well due to the recent flooding. Please reach out to the school tomorrow if you have any needs.
I want to assure you that the newer wings, which house our K-5 grades and our cafeteria, did not experience any flooding. However, the older wings, including the music, band, gym, PreK, and offices, did sustain water damage. Since we only need to relocate our PreK, music, and PE programs, we will be able to address this situation more quickly.
Servpro and staff from the WVDE Office of School Facilities will be onsite tomorrow to assess the areas that received water damage. Please note that our students will not attend school tomorrow, February 18, 2025 and the county will provide you with an update as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this time.

We hope and pray you are all safe after the recent flooding. Please let us know if your family has been affected or if you need any support. Our school community is here for you. We will let you know more the school after it is accessible.
