The VEX Robotics World Championship is underway for over 800 elementary teams across the world. Dallas, TX is hosting this amazing event for teams from 33 nations across the world. Mercer Elementary and Straley School are four of the nearly 800 teams competing May 2, 3, and 4th. The journey began in September during the Mercer County Robotics League play, then onto states and now worlds! They are among the best of the best! Please wish them luck!!

A Reverse Career Fair was held today at the Mercer County Technical Education Center where students showcased their skills to potential employers. At tonight's board meeting, Stacy Hicks from Princeton Rescue Squad was recognized for his long-time dedication to Mercer County Schools, Jessica Bryant was recognized for receiving National Board Certification in School Nursing, and several students were recognized for placing 1st or 2nd place at the State Social Studies Fair. To top it all off, Oakvale School's therapy dog, Oakley, paid a visit!
