Pre-K teachers and administrators joined Amber Riffe, Pre-K/Elementary Supervisor for part two of their Child Outcome Summaries training yesterday. Teachers participated in a strategy session that will connect to their next Pre-K professional learning community in Math.

Mercer County Principals received training from Dr. Ashley Vaughn on WV Balanced Scorecard Methodology and Reducing Chronic Absenteeism by Russell Lippencott.




PikeView Middle School administration has become aware of a potential threat to school safety. Investigation by school administrators and WV State Police identified the students involved and appropriate disciplinary action was taken immediately by the school. WV State Police are continuing to investigate the incident in coordination with the Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
UPDATE: BUS 649 WILL NOT RUN TODAY, 10/17/23.
One of our buses was involved in an accident on 460 this morning. The bus did not have students on it at the time. We are thankful the bus driver and aide are not hurt, but both are being checked out by medical professionals.
UPDATE: Bus 649 is not running today.

Dictionary Project Day is one of the best days of the year! Thank you to Concord University, the Princeton and Bluefield Rotary Clubs, and New River Community and Technical College for providing a dictionary for each 3rd grade student in Mercer County.
