Bluefield High math teacher Jessica Thomas presented Mercer County's Local Improvement Team poster with the Mountaineer Mathematics Master Teachers at the WV Council of Teachers of Mathematics conference on Pi Day! This team worked all year to find ways to encourage students to always check if their answers to math problems make sense. Other Mercer County teachers also attended this conference.

The Bluefield Sheriff's Department visited BPS' Pre-K last Friday for our letter "P" show and tell. They brought pizza, punch, pop-its and went over some safety tips. The kids had a blast and also loved that "Pre-K" begins with the letter "P".
