The recommendation process is highly competitive and selective, as senators typically have limited nomination slots each year. Therefore, when a senator chooses to nominate and individual, it reflects their belief in the student's potential and their dedication to serving the country.

During the November 13, 2023 Board Meeting, Rocky Frye, a Montcalm High School student, was recognized for placing 2nd in the Class A WV State Golf Tournament. Congratulations, Rocky!
