Currently, the Mercer County Sheriff's Office is conducting an on-site safety review of Spanishburg School. There is no threat and no interruption of instruction.

Thanks to all who came out tonight to our Title I family event. This Thursday, March 30th is our Kindergarten Registration. Please call the school for an appointment time if you have not done so. Also, help us pass the word to all who need to register.

Reminder tomorrow, March 17th is an early dismissal. We will dismiss at 12:15 pm. Cook's Choice tomorrow, March 17th, is fried chicken, mashed potatoes, cole slaw, biscuit, apples and milk. Be getting your Trash to Treasure Projects ready. The school judging is March 27th. All projects must be at the school to be judged by 9 a.m. on March 27th. Again, early dismissal tomorrow and wear green.

Bus 604-608 will not run tomorrow, March 16th.

The Book Blast is going strong as we approach these last few days of the event. You still have time to get 10 emails and receive all three prizes and be entered into the drawing for the iPad and last two treasure chests. In addition, the student with the highest dollar amount of contributions from each grade level will be awarded a $100 Book Blast shopping spree. On top of that, the student with the highest dollar amount of contributions in the school will be awarded an additional $100 shopping spree. So, one student winner will be going home with a total of $200 in Book Blast shopping sprees!


BUS UPDATE 2/27/23: Bus 600 will be replaced with bus 593 and will run 10-15 minutes late. This affects Spanishburg, Pikeview Middle and Pikeview High.

This week is Read Across America Week. We will celebrate Dr. Seuss all week. Join in the fun! Monday wear your crazy socks. Tuesday make your hair crazy. Wednesday dress crazy. Thursday dress like your favorite Dr. Seuss character and Friday let's celebrate Cat in the Hat!


Our voyage starts on Monday when we’ll cast off in search of Book Blast treasure. Once you receive your Treasure Map next week, the treasure hunt begins! Be sure to complete it for a chance to win one of 4 Treasure Chests stuffed with cash and even an Apple iPad! But even better, you’ll be starting the journey to earning all 10 books on the Treasure Map book list. Heave ho, let’s go readers!

Tomorrow you may dress up three different ways. First, we missed our “like 100 years old” today, so we will move it to tomorrow. Therefore, tomorrow will be our 100th day of school and you may dress like you are 100 years old. Or, tomorrow is Groundhog Day. You may dress “Springy” or “Wintery” based on what you think the groundhog will say.
