STEM Day for our 4th and 5th graders!
Today for our alphabet countdown for letter S, we used solar energy to make s’mores for S’more learning. We put the smores together, wrapped them, then put them in containers covered with foil to help trap the heat from the sun. Unfortunately the sun kept hiding behind the clouds so it didn’t work as we planned but we still enjoyed a tasty snack!
Today we celebrate the brave servicemen and servicewomen who died fighting for our country.
Fifth Graders are having LOADS of fun learning today with glowing math activities and escape the island reading activities. 🌟🏝️

Kindergarten learned what Election Day is and how to vote. They read "Duck for President" to help them better understand the voting process and then took a vote on who they wanted to be president, Duck or Farmer Brown. Duck won 8 to 2.
2nd graders held an election this morning to learn about the voting process. They even filled out registration papers to come up to their very own voting booth!

I am truly blessed to be at Mountain Valley with an incredible TEAM and fabulous STUDENTS! Thank you all for the wonderful surprise this morning. It warmed my heart!!! It was my mom who always encouraged me to get into education, and it’s days like today, I miss her so very much but can totally feel her presence with me. 😇Thank you all so much for an amazing Principal’s Day!!!❤️
