Montcalm Families, the phones and internet are currently down at the school. We do have a dedicated emergency land line phone available in the school for occasions like this. Crews are working to restore the internet, so we will notify you when it is back on.
Montcalm Families, the school experienced a water outage this morning due to a main line water break. The break has been repaired and water has been restored to the school. We are now under a boil water advisory. Students have had bottled water all morning and will continue to have bottled water for the duration of the boil water advisory.

Montcalm Families, we are so excited to see your students in the morning! It's going to be a great 25-26 school year! Just a few announcements for tomorrow. We will be dropping students off at the gym doors this year in the morning. Pre-K will continue to drop off at their door in the back. As you drop students off, please pull down past the gym doors to drop students off. This will allow us to unload multiple students at one time and speed up our drop off process. Parent pick up will continue to take place at the front of the cafeteria. Parents can still line up down at the softball field and may come up the hill to line up once ALL buses have been parked. If you come up the hill prior to buses being parked and line up out into the driveway it blocks buses from being able to get into place. If this becomes an issue we will make changes to the process that will keep the roadway clear. Doors will open at 7am and the tardy bell will ring at 7:30. The dismissal bell for buses rings at 2:21 and the dismissal for parent pickups rings at 2:23. Please make every attempt to get students to school on time, picked up promptly and plan to make attendance a priority this year. We look forward to seeing your students and getting this year started!

Don't forget about the MCS Express Food Truck this week! Today they're in Bluefield at the Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church. Tomorrow at the First Christian Church across from Straley School, Wednesday at Matoaka Summer Day Camp at the Matoaka Fire Department, and Thursday at the Montcalm Volunteer Fire Department. Each day is from 11:00-12:30. Bring your kids for food and fun!
