Montcalm Families, this is a reminder that we will be having our Title I Spring Family Engagement, Cloudy With a Chance of Fun, tomorrow evening, March 31, 2025 from 5-6:30. We will be serving spaghetti and meatballs along with playing games and giving out useful information that can help your student be more successful. Also, tomorrow is spring picture day. Montcalm Families, The dental van is coming to Montcalm Elementary on April 9th 2025. Consent forms were sent home previously to allow your child to be seen by the dentist. The appointment will include a cleaning, dental check, fluoride application and sealants as needed. Please read over the consent forms and return them as soon as possible if you wish for your child to be seen. If you have Medicaid, please include your child's Medicaid ID number on the form. Montcalm Families, Until further notice, because of road closure, Bus #660 will not be able to travel to these areas:

Wright Mountain
Intersection of Sandlick and Rt 71 aka Sandlick Junction.
If you want your child to ride the bus in the morning then you will need to meet Bus #660 at 7:10 am at Sandlick Junction, and in the pm, you will meet us #660 at 2:40 pm.
Also, Bus 688 Kevin Kendrick will meet at Giatto/Crane Creek Intersection @ 7A until further notice . Due to road conditions!
Montcalm Families, due to a structure fire on Simmons River Road, the road is blocked. Bus 650 will still be delivering all students home, but will be running up to 30 minutes late to the far end of Simmons River Road and Bramwell. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Montcalm Families, there will be no tutoring today, Wednesday, January 15th 2025. Students will be sent home as usual. Please plan accordingly. Also, make-up pictures will be taken tomorrow, Thursday, January 16th 2024. If your student was absent or you wish to have pictures remade, those pictures will be taken tomorrow.
Montcalm Families, make-up picture day has been rescheduled from tomorrow to Tuesday, January 28th 2025. If your student was absent for Fall pictures or you need pictures remade, those will be taken that day.
Montcalm Families, Our Choir, Band and Music Performances will take place this evening, Tuesday, December 17th 2024. 2nd grade students in Mrs. Fitzko and Mrs. Goins classes, 3rd grade students in Mrs. Lanter and Ms. Elliott's classes and 4th grade students in Mrs. Norris's class should arrive by 4:30 and will perform at 5:00 pm. Those students should wear festive tops and nice bottoms without holes. The band and choir performance will begin at 6:00pm. Those 5th and 6th grade students should be at the school by 5:30.
Montcalm Families, bus 655 will not be running this afternoon. Students will be sent to the cafeteria with the parent pickup students. Please make arrangements to pick your child up at the school. Thank you for your understanding.

Montcalm Families, the following message is for Math Field Day participants. Those meeting at Concord, need to be there by 9:15 am. It will be a compressed schedule. Lunch will be from 12:30 -1:00 and awards will be at 1:15 pm. If riding to and from the competition, please be at school by 9:15 am. For the afternoon, please prepare for parent pick-up in case we do not make it back in time for buses. Stay warm and have a great evening!

Montcalm Families, due to the weather forecast, we will have a menu change. We will be having our Thanksgiving meal tomorrow, Wednesday, November 20th 2024 instead of Thursday. We appreciate your understanding.
Montcalm Families, please listen for two important reminders. First, we will not be having tutoring after school on Wednesday. Students will be sent home in their usual manner. Please plan accordingly. Second, we are unable to change transportation for students after 2 pm. This causes confusion and affects the safety of our students. If your child needs a change in transportation, please bring in a note. If students are going home together, we need a note from both parents. We appreciate your cooperation in these matters.

Tuesday-"Hat Day to say Put a Cap on Bullying"-Students and staff wear their favorite hat to say Put a Cap on Bullying.
Wednesday-Wacky/Tacky Shirt Day"-Students and staff wear a wacky/tacky shirt apparel to say Bullying is way too Wacky/Tacky so let’s put a stop to it.
Thursday-"Sock Day as to say Sock it to Bullying"-Students and staff wear their favorite most decorative socks and wear blue attire.
Friday-" Our School Chooses to Be Bullying Free”-Students and staff wear their Montcalm School shirts attire to school.
