Hello LMS families!
We are excited to share that we will finally get to begin using our new gym floor on Monday, March 20th. We are so thankful for this beautiful new floor and we want to do everything we can to protect the floor from damage. To help us maintain the floor we are asking that students only wear soft sole shoes on the floor. For example, tennis shoes, Hey Dudes or Crocs would be acceptable. Cowboy boots, or other shoes with hard soles could possibly damage the floor's finish. If a student does not have soft soles on they will not be permitted on the gym floor. Please keep this in mind as you send your child to school each day. Students can keep an older pair of shoes in their locker, if needed. Students will return to entering and exiting the school each day through the locker room and gymnasium. Thanks for all you do to support your child and our school!

Good evening LMS families! Tomorrow is our Pennies for patients fundraiser. Students may pay $1.00 to wear a hat or holiday head gear. All procedds will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma society to help children fighting cancer. Also, tomorrow is a two hour early dismissal.
Hello LMS families! Just a reminder of our Dr. Seuss parent involvement from 3:00-5:00 today. If you are picking your student up from school, you are welcome to park and come in and join us at 3:00.
Good evening LMS families! Just a couple of reminders this evening. Tomorrow is our Dr. Seuss parent involvement night. Join us any time between 3:00 and 5:00. There will be no tutoring tomorrow for grades K-2. Friday is a two hour early dismissal. Our lunch menu tomorrow is salisbury steak and gravy, scalloped potatoes, carrots, homemade roll, fruit, and milk. Have a great evening!
LMS families, our parent involvement scheduled for this evening has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 16 from 3:00-5:00. We hope you can join us! Friday, March 17 is a two hour early dismissal.
Good evening LMS families! Make plans to drop in and join us anytime between 3:00-5:00 tomorrow evening (3-14-23) for our Title I parent involvement session. Families will visit their children’s classrooms where teachers will share helpful reading tips! All students will receive a new book and treat bag. We will have cupcakes, snacks, drinks and photo booths! Students may come dressed as their favorite Dr. Seuss character to school tomorrow.
5th grade donut orders are due by Monday, March 20 by 8 A.M.
Good evening LMS families! There is a change to the lunch menu tomorrow. Instead of pig in a blankets, we will be having mac and cheese bites. Tomorrow is the last day for our canned food drive. The class that has the most cans will receive an ice cream party. Spring and class pictures will be taken Wednesday, March 15. Class pictures must be purchased in advance. Have a great evening!

Please join us on Tuesday, March 14 from 3:00-5:00 for a Dr. Seuss Literacy Night. You will learn strategies to help your child be a successful reader. Students will receive a book and light refreshments will be served.
Good evening LMS families! Tomorrow is Friday and for Dr. Seuss week, students can wear their pajamas tomorrow. Also, Saturday, March 4 is our pepperoni cheese roll sale. We will have some extra available if you want to stop by and purchase some. Drinks will also be available. Pick up is from 12:00-3:00. All projects are due to the school for judging on Monday, 3-20-23 by 8:00 am. 1st , 2nd and 3rd place winners from each division will be sent to the county level for judging. This is an important message from Lashmeet Matoaka School. We have some changes to our tutoring schedule. Beginning this week. all K-2 students who attend tutoring on Tuesday will now be changed to Thursdays. If this is an issue with your schedule, please contact the school and let us know. For this week only, Mr. Harmon will have all 3-5 tutoring students on Monday, February 27. Also, as a reminder, we begin our Dr. Seuss week tomorrow. Monday, February 27 is "One Fish, Two Fish.'

Good evening LMS families! Tomorrow, Friday, February 24, the 5th grade will sponsor hat day. Students may wear a hat of their choice for $1.00. Money from this fundraiser will go towards the 5th grade field trip. Next week we will celebrate Dr. Seuss week with a theme each day. We will send out reminders daily. Have a great evening!
Good evening LMS families! Just a couple of reminders...All preschool applications need to be completed online or turned in to the school by Friday, February 24. You will receive a call to schedule an appointment to come in to register for March 7 or 8. We are still collecting canned goods to donate to local Blessing Boxes.
