Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 5 through Friday, May 8, students in grades 3–5 will be taking the WV General Summative Assessment. Students in grades 3–5 will be assessed in Math, Reading, and Writing, and fifth-grade students will also be assessed in Science.
It is very important that all students are present, on time, and well rested each day of testing. Students who arrive on time each day, spend an appropriate amount of time on the test without rushing, show their work, use strategies and available online tools, check their math problems, reread texts, and remain actively engaged will earn a free field trip to the Princeton Health and Fitness Center. Please note that students must meet all of these requirements to qualify for the field trip.
Parents, please help support your child by ensuring they get a good night’s sleep each evening so they are prepared to do their best.

Join us on Tuesday, April 28at 5:00 PM for a Barnyard Hullabaloo. This is our annual Night of the Arts music program and art display. We hope to see you there!

Good evening LMS families! We have several announcements this evening. Please listen to the entire message so you do not miss any important information. First, run club for Monday, April 20 is cancelled. Next, we will have Kindergarten and Preschool registration on Monday. If you did not receive a phone call with your scheduled time, please call the school at 304-467-8282. If you have a child that is registering and you already have a sibling at LMS, please check their folder so that you can have the paperwork completed when you arrive on Monday. Also, don't forget to bring a state issued birth certificate, proof of residency, shot record, well child visit form, and dental check. Finally, next week we are celebrating the month of the military child with a spirit week. Monday is wear a shirt to show your favorite branch. Tuesday wear camouflage. Wednesday is red, white, and blue day. Thursday is Purple Up day. Wear purple in honor of our military kids. Friday is wear red to remember everyone deployed. One last announcement, fifth grade will be having a nacho sale on Thursday, April 23 during the afternoon. For $5.00 students will receive nachos, cheese, and a juice. Money can be sent in prior to April 23 or you may pay online. Have a great weekend!
