Good evening 5th grade parents! Our fifth grade students will be visiting Pikeview Middle School tomorrow for orientation. This is a make-up day from March 17. They will be leaving LMS at 8:00 A.M. and will return around 10:30. Also, we are asking each of you to send in a baby picture for the yearbook. We will make sure the pictures are returned. Thank you!

Good evening LMS families! This Friday, March 20, is spring and class picture day. Make sure you send your order in for class pictures. Friday is also the St. Patrick's Day dance for grades 3-5 from 2:30-4:00. Saturday, March 21 is the alumni game sponsored by PTO. We will have alumni players from various schools playing on Saturday. The first game is at 11:00 and the final game should be around 6:00. Sunday will be the championship game. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Students must have a signed permission slip and the $5 admission fee in order to stay. A snack pack will also be sold for $5. The dance will be over at 4:00. Good evening LMS families! This week we are celebrating Read Across America Week with a different theme each day. Tomorrow is "Reading knocks your socks off: Wear Silly Socks." Thursday is "Reading sends a message: Wear a shirt with writing on it." Friday is "Hats off to reading: Wear your favorite hat." Please plan to attend our Title I parent involvement family literacy night on March 19 from 4:00-6:00. Our students have been working very hard reading books and creating special literacy projects. This event is a wonderful opportunity for them to showcase their work and share what they have learned with you. We are asking both students and parents to attend so that our students can proudly show off their projects and celebrate their accomplishments. We will not be selling popcorn tomorrow. Trash to treasure projects are due no later than the morning of March 10. Don't forget about our candle fundraiser. All orders and money are due on March 23. Finally, if your child is missing two or more consecutive days of school, please call the school and let us know. Thank you for your continued support!
