Kindergarten and first grade families, students need to be at the school at 6:30 AM tomorrow, Friday, May 31st for the field trip. They need to wear tennis shoes and do not need to bring their book bag. They will receive yellow LMS shirts to wear in the morning so dress accordingly. We are leaving at 7:00 AM sharp. We will not wait on students who arrive late. We plan to return to school at 4:00 PM. We will let you know if we arrive earlier or later by a phone call. Please be on time to get your child. Students have to ride the bus to the Clay Center but you may sign them out to go back home. Please send lunch boxes in disposable bags with their names on it, if you plan to attend with your child, you can keep their lunches with you. We are having cheese pizza for lunch. We will see you at 6:30 tomorrow morning.
Lashmeet Matoaka School's awards day is scheduled for Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Preschool will be 8:00-8:30, Kindergarten 9:00-9:30, first and second grade 10:00-10:30, third and fourth grade 12:00 and fifth grade at 1:00. We hope to see you there.

This is an important message from Lashmeet Matoka School. PikeView Middle and PikeView High students are being dismissed early. Buses are there now to get them, however, this will make them late getting to us. If you want to pick up your kids early, that will be fine. Buses will be here to get them, if not they will be home later than usual..

Good evening, LMS parents! Attention Prek families, tomorrow Monday, May 13th, is the field trip. LMS parents, our West Virginia General Summative Assessment for grades 3-5, started today. Please make sure your student gets a good amount of sleep each night and they arrive to school on time. The last day of testing is Thursday, May 9. We will do make up testing on May 10, 13, and 15-17, if needed. Also, there will be two more after school choir rehearsals before the concert on May 21. These rehearsals will be on Thursdays, May 9 and May 16 after school until 3:30. Students may stay and adults may come at 2:45 to practice. Your child will also receive information about a talent show as part of our Night of the Arts on May 21.

Attention Pre-K parents. Just a reminder that our ABC Parade is this Thursday at 1PM. Please send your child's quilt piece to school before Thursday so we can have the quilt put together. Make sure they come Thursday morning with their letter costume. Also as a reminder field trip and money are due no later than May 10th. Your child will not be allowed to attend the field trip without a signed permission slip form. Our field trip is May 13th to the Fort Chiswell Animal Park. We will be having our Donuts with Grownups event on Friday May 17th at 1PM. These forms have went home and need to be returned as soon as possible so we can get a count for food.
