Good morning Beaver Kits! This is to notify those parents whose students go to daycares after school that we have a new route, bus 606, that will transport students to all local daycare facilities. Thank you!

Good evening Beaver Kits! We recently participated in the Book Blast reading program and our students were very successful in earning books for themselves and the school! To congratulate them we are having a Snuggle Up and Read day on Friday, November 8th. Students are allowed to wear comfy pajamas and bring a reading buddy with them. All students will receive the books they earned through program participation. It will be an exciting day to be a Beaver Kit!
Also, we would like to invite you to attend an LSIC meeting on November 14th at 6:00 pm. This meeting will provide time for our families, community and stakeholders to discuss the school's academic performance and a time to discuss concerns and collaborate on resolutions. We appreciate your involvement and commitment to our student's education. Thank you!

Good morning! To all participants who are registered for BPS trunk or treat, you will be allowed to begin set up at 11:00, please do not come until then. We will have staff outside to assist and direct. Thank you!

Good evening, Beaver kits! Students are allowed to dress up for Halloween tomorrow and celebrate with our trunk or treat. Costume regulations are no masks, no weapons, no costumes that are scary, bloody, or gory. Costumes must still meet Mercer County dress code. Face paint is allowable but discouraged considering students will be in costume all day and the paint may irritate the skin or run into eyes. This is a schoolwide event, it is not a parent involvement, students only to participate. Students will not be allowed to eat their candy while at school, this will give parents the opportunity to check their children's bags for any food allergy items that may be present. All pumpkins from the decorating contest must be picked up by Friday or they will be disposed of. Thank you and have a great evening.

Dear Families,
Our Book Blast event has just a few days left. If you haven’t registered your student yet, please use this link to sign up and invite 10+ friends and family: https://app.booksarefun.com/BluefieldPS24701
Already registered? We still need your help to get more books for our students. Inviting 2 more friends or family to this wonderful cause will help us reach our goal (use the link above).
Your participation also helps our teachers earn school supplies and books for their classrooms, and your student still has a chance to win a Treasure Chest stuffed with cash!
Thank you for showing our students they are supported by you, your friends, family, and our community!

Good evening Beave Kit families! We are calling about an important announcement regarding our Trunk or Treat on October 31st. We are adjusting our time to 11:30-12:30 to give families time to participate in Bluefield Intermediate's trunk or treat; you can begin setting up at 11:00. Spots are limited so make sure you get your reservation in by Tuesday, October 22nd. Also, we still need donations of candy and snack cakes for our fall festival on Thursday this week. Finally, for the safety and supervision of our students, since the tardy bell rings at 7:30 and your child should be in their classroom by then, the parent drop off loop will be closed at 7:25 to ensure those who are already in the loop will be supervised and not counted tardy. If you are not inside the loop by this time, you will need to go to the main entrance to escort your child into the building. Please do not allow your child to walk into the building alone, this is dangerous and does not follow procedures. Some tips to make the drop off process run efficiently and safely are to have your child unbuckled once you are in line, make sure they have their bookbag, lunchbox, and other items ready to carry, pull all the way up in line without leaving gaps between cars, and allow your child to exit independently if they are old enough to safely exit the vehicle. Thank you for making student safety a priority.

Good evening Beaver Kit Families! Please make sure all picture money is turned in by Thursday, October 17th, and all online orders have been placed. Thank you!

Good evening Beaver Kits! Please check your child's folder for the Book Blast Treasure Map to learn how to earn books for your child's home library! There are opportunities for your students to earn great prizes!

Good morning Beaver Kits! We are experiencing issues with our phone lines, we are not able to place calls out, and hope to have the problem resolved soon. Thank you!

Good afternoon Beaver Kits! We are still in need of candy donations for our upcoming fall festival., October 24th from 5:00-6:30. We are also taking donations of snack cakes. Also, please send in those pumpkin patch permission forms as soon as possible. Remember the tardy bell is at 7:30 so please make arrangements to have your students here in plenty of time to avoid being tardy.

Good evening Beaver Kits! This is a reminder that students do not come to school tomorrow, Monday, October 14th. The remainder of the week is spirit week so check out the school's Facebook page for the daily themes. The gym doors close at 7:30 for morning drop off to align with our tardy bell. If you arrive after the doors close, you need to check your child in at the main entrance. Please do not just drop them off unattended as this is a safety concern,. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation to keep our students safe.

Good evening Beaver kits! Please send all permission slips for the pumpkin patch in tomorrow, October 11. We need to get an accurate count of how many students are planning on going. Thank you.

Hello Beaver Kits. We are currently experiencing some issues with our phone lines. We can not make calls out or receive calls. We hope this is resolved quickly and thank you for your patience.

Good evening Bluefield Primary! Please remember to wear green tomorrow in support of Mrs. Miller!

Good evening Beaver Kit families. Please remember that if you arrive to the school after 7:30, your child is tardy and needs to be signed in at the front doors. We will start collecting donations on October 14th and end on October 22nd. The festival will be held October 24th and more details about the festival will be sent home soon. To show our support of Mrs. Miller at Bluefield Middle School, we ask that everyone wear green on Wednesday, October 9th. Thank you and have a good evening!
