Good evening Beaver Kit Families! Reminder that tomorrow is wear gold for childhood cancer. Also, tomorrow is our Title One Parent Involvement & Open House, feel free to drop in anytime from 4:00-6:00. We will have concessions available, cash only please. Parking may be tight, use the main loop, you can pull into the grassy areas, and use the tennis court lot at the high school if needed. Be cautious of other vehicles and do not block anyone in. We look forward to an evening of fun! Thank you!

I am excited to announce that today we are starting the Domino’s Pizza Fundraiser. The money raised will go towards field trips and travel expenses!

Once you register, your child will be able to pick their prize and share their very own store link! Once the fundraiser is complete, they will receive the prize they selected from the highest level they qualify for!

After registering, share your child’s link via email, text, and social media! When a customer clicks on your link, it will take them directly to your child’s store to purchase a card, and we will send the card directly to them. Using your personalized link will ensure your child is given credit for the purchase.

Also, once you register you will have two chances to earn a $50 gift card! The registered student with the most cards sold by 9/15 at 11:59 p.m. EST will win a $50 Gift Card (when our group sells at least 100 cards online).

Good evening Beaver Kit families! Please listen to the following reminders, we can not make transportation changes over the phone. Any change in transportation needs to be submitted to the school in writing. We can not release students for early dismissals after 1:50, this is county policy. Also, please be aware of your surroundings and your speed as you drive. We had an employee who was bumped by a car as they were helping a student out of a car. The employee is unharmed, but this should never happen. Do not pass other cars unless instructed by staff, have your student ready to exit, drive slow, and pull all the way up to the last person. Following these safety measures will help prevent accidents.

Good evening Beaver Kits! We are excited to welcome our grandparents tomorrow for cuddle up and read. Please use the gym doors to enter, doors will open 5 min. before each time slot. 2nd grade is 8:00 to 8:30, Pre-K is 8:45-9:15, Kindergarten is 9:30-10:00, and 1st grade is 10:15 to 10:45. Thank you!

Good evening, Beaver Kit families! We are ready and excited for the first day of school! Please listen carefully to the following details: morning drop off begins at 7:00 am; doors will not be open before 7:00. Parents drop off will utilize both loops starting at 7:15. Please be cautious and aware of your surroundings, do not speed, and do not pass vehicles. Student safety is a priority. Doors will close at 7:30 & the tardy bell is 7:35 am, if you arrive after this time, please walk your child to the office using the main entrance. Dismissal is at 2:20, we do not release students to parents/guardians who walk up to the doors and ask for a child. We have safety procedures in place that we will follow. County policy states students cannot be dismissed after 1:50 so please keep that in mind when scheduling appointments. We have had numerous phone calls today to change students to a different class. It is not our normal procedure to take parent request to make changes; therefore, we will not be moving students to different classrooms. Thank you and have a good evening!

Don't forget about the MCS Express Food Truck this week! Today they're in Bluefield at the Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church. Tomorrow at the First Christian Church across from Straley School, Wednesday at Matoaka Summer Day Camp at the Matoaka Fire Department, and Thursday at the Montcalm Volunteer Fire Department. Each day is from 11:00-12:30. Bring your kids for food and fun!

Good evening, Beaver kits! Tomorrow is students last day of school and our water day. Please don't forget to send your students with a change of dry clothes and shoes, and a dry towel. We are looking forward to a great last day with our students.!

Good morning 2nd grade parents & families. We apologize for the inconsistency between the flyer and the phone call that was sent out. Our 2nd grade awards ceremony will start at 10:30 and doors will be open at 10:10. Again we apologize for the oversight and any inconvenience. Thank you!

Good evening, Beaver kits! We are excited to celebrate our first and second grade classes tomorrow for awards day. 1st grade parents can arrive at 8 AM, Doors will open at 8:10. All parents please use the loop around the front of the school and the loop around the gym. Please do not park in a manner that would block anyone in from leaving. First grade parents will need to be out of the school parking lot by 9:50 am. Second grade parents can arrive at the school at 10 AM and doors will open at 10:10. Thank you a great evening.!

Good evening, Beaver Kit families! We are hosting our Kindergarten awards day tomorrow at 12:30. We kindly ask that parent pick-ups do not arrive at the school until 1:55. We will have the parking lot chained off until this time to avoid unnecessary traffic to allow our Kindergarten families time to leave. Thank you for your cooperation.

Good evening, Beaver Kit Kindergarten families! We are excited to celebrate our students’ hard work and accomplishments this year on awards day. We kindly ask you to follow these directions regarding parking, as our ceremony will end close to the time buses and parents arrive for dismissal. Please do not arrive before 12:00. We will have staff outside at 12 to direct traffic. Only use the big loop around the front of the school pulling around to the end, which will be marked by cones. Please pull into the grass facing the fence so we can fit more vehicles. You are welcome to use the High School tennis court parking lot, and you can park along the main road. Please do not park in a manner that blocks another vehicle in. All vehicles must be cleared off the premises no later than 1:45. Thank you for your cooperation!

Good evening pre k Beaver Kits. We are so excited to celebrate our students tomorrow. Graduation will be held in the gym but please park around the large loop in front of the school pulling up and around as far as possible to ensure there is enough space for everyone. We will mark the first parking spot with cones. We have 2nd grade leaving for a field trip and need the parking lot loop for buses. Thank you and have a great evening!

Hello Beaver kits! We have a lot of lost and found jackets that need to be claimed. We will have these items outside on the sidewalk of the parent loop tomorrow, June 7th, from 10:00-12:00 for you to stop by and see if any belong to your students. After tomorrow, any remaining items will be donated. Please do not call the school or come to the office to try to locate a lost item but reach out to your child's teacher to assist in finding an item. Thank you!
