Bus 640, Carl Meadows, just left Athens School with the students. Thank you!

Bus 640, Carl Meadows, is running late today. We will update this message when students riding that bus have been picked up from the school. Thank you!

This message is from Athens Elementary School. The Mobile Dentist will be at Athens starting tomorrow, Friday, May 16 and Monday, May 19 to see the students that are signed up for this service. For all 5th grade students that signed up for the physicals and immunizations, those will be completed on Monday, May 19. Thank you!

We began our Summative Assessments TODAY! We are so proud and very excited to see our students “Show What They Know”! Please look over the test schedule so you know when your child takes their test. Make sure everyone gets plenty of rest and eats something healthy! You Got This! #athenstrojans #wewillrockthistest

LSIC Meeting Minutes

Congratulations to Athens Elementary School's 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Andrea Barr!

Happy Paraprofessional Week to our AMAZING Teaching Assistants!

LSIC Meeting on Monday, April 7th.

April is designated as the Month of the Military Child, a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions and resilience of military children, and their unique experiences and challenges. The month aims to raise awareness about the needs and experiences of military children, who often face challenges like frequent moves, deployments, and separations from parents.
We will celebrate with spirit week next week!

Tonight is our Title I Parent Night from 5:00-6:00pm. We hope you can join us! There will be a drawing for some awesome door prizes!!

As we move farther along in the school year, don't forget that attendance still matters!

Mercer County Schools has created a universal link for parents and guardians to upload absence excuses. This form is the same for all schools in the county. A new laminated card will be coming home with your student soon.

We are proud to announce the Mercer County Social Stuides winners! Everyone did a great job and represented Athens School! 🌎

Now that school is in full swing, don't forget about the importance of attendance! Even during this holiday season, we continue to provide core instruction.

Many of us struggle during the holiday season. Don't forget that the school system has partnered with the Cook Center to offer free coaching for our staff, students, and families. You can sign up at any time to start your free sessions.
