Ms. Lewis and Ms. Smith's classes at Bluefield Middle School are diving into the novel Crenshaw! In the story, the main character and his family hold a yard sale to help pay rent. To bring the story to life, students participated in a hands-on yard sale project—organizing, setting up, and even designing their own yard!
This engaging activity not only deepened their understanding of the book but also reinforced real-world math, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Adequate nutrition is vital for success in and out of the classroom, and we’re proud to break barriers to learning through this program!
