Mrs. Samosky's 6th Grade Science classes did an experiment to see what effect yeast would have on bananas. The answer? Yeast feeds on the banana causing it to decompose more quickly!

Mrs. Curry's 6th and 7th grade math classes, made posters comparing the difference between the prices of a Thanksgiving dinner on a worksheet and those in a current grocery store advertisement.
Mrs. Pettus's homeroom enjoyed making catapults this week. Groups competed to see whose catapult would launch the Pom-Poms the furthest. The winners were Gavin Dilley, Dylan Reynolds, and Jacob Clemons!

As part of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, a group of student leaders at PVMS made no-sew blankets for those who may not have a warm place to sleep at night. This project is in partnership with the Mercer County ICARE program and Mercer County Coalition for Healthy Communities. These student leaders are always willing and eager to help others.
Mrs. Woodring's 8th grade Social Studies classes have been researching players that played for Marshall or that were on the team when the plane crashed on November 14, 1970. Students used the biographies they created to make a memorial in the 1st floor hallway.
Ms. Lee's 6th Grade ELA students have been working on being reporters for a newspaper by writing an article from a series read in class.
