Tomorrow (Monday), Mercer County Schools is requesting that students show their love for BMS Buccaneers Principal, Mrs. Kim Miller. Mrs. Miller is courageously battling cancer. Please wear green tomorrow to show her and her family that we send our love and support out to them! Together, as a Tiger community, we can make a difference and bring a smile to Mrs. Miller's face!

Starting this Friday, students will be leaving their laptops at school in a charging cart at the end of each day. They will place them in the cart to charge in their 8th period class (at the end of the day) and pick them up from that teacher the next morning before going to homeroom. We feel that this eliminate many of the worries and issues of "I forgot my charger at home" or "My laptop is in my Mom's car." There will be less burden on the students and they can focus more on the learning taking place at PMS. Thanks so much for your support for PMS and for your child's education! :)

🔦✨ Geometry in Action!
Students in Mrs. Mills' math classes explored dilations and the center of dilation using a creative flashlight activity! By shining lights through transparent shapes, students were able to see how figures change size while keeping their shape — just like in real mathematical dilations.

📐➡️ Using several different prisms, they discovered how moving the shape closer or farther from the "center of dilation" (the flashlight!) changes the scale.

Math is more than numbers — it’s hands-on, visual, and full of light! 🌟

We'd like to share that over 2,500 schools across West Virginia, including higher education institutions, have received donated signs displaying our national motto: “IN GOD WE TRUST.”

This initiative follows Senate Bill 280, which requires that this sign be displayed in a conspicuous location within the main building of each public school or institution of higher education—somewhere easily accessible to the public.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to First Liberty Institute, Patriot Mobile, Patriot Academy, and Christian Management for generously donating the signs that will be displayed at Princeton Middle School.

Wellness Wednesday – Connections Matter

This week, Mercer County Schools students are learning that no one has to face tough times alone. Our students are discussing "who's in their corner." When we know who we can turn to, we feel stronger and more supported. Let’s remind one another: You are never alone!
