As we move closer to the end of the school year, Ms. Ray’s class has been diving into creativity in every form ✍️📚. Students have been exploring poetry writing—experimenting with rhythm, word choice, and expression to bring their ideas to life on the page 🌟. It’s been great to see their voices come through in such unique and thoughtful ways.
They’ve also been stepping into the world of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland 🐇🎩, using its imaginative characters and themes as inspiration for discussion and creative writing. Alongside all of this, students are beginning the yearly tradition of locker clean out 🧹🧼—sorting, organizing, and wrapping up the school year with responsibility and reflection as they prepare for what’s next 🎒✨.

🧡💙 Career Day 2026: Inspiring Future Tigers! 💙🧡
Last Friday, Princeton Middle School students had the opportunity to learn from professionals representing a wide variety of careers and industries. From skilled trades and public service to healthcare, business, technology, and more, our students were able to hear firsthand about the many paths available to them after graduation.
Experiences like Career Day are so important because they help students discover interests, explore possibilities, and begin thinking about their futures. Not every student will follow the same path, and exposure to a diverse range of careers helps them understand the many opportunities that exist beyond the classroom. A huge thank you to all of our presenters who took time to invest in our students and inspire the next generation of leaders, innovators, and professionals! 🧡💙

🧡💙 Attention Current 6th Graders & Families! 💙🧡
As your student prepares to become a 7th grader, updated immunization records must be submitted showing both the Tdap and MCV4 (Meningococcal) vaccinations.
If your child has not yet received these required immunizations, please contact your physician as soon as possible. Summer appointments can fill quickly, so scheduling now can help avoid delays later.
📅 Records are due:
🏈 July 1st for students participating in sports or band activities
🏫 The first day of school for all other students
Thank you for helping us keep our students healthy and ready for a successful school year! 🧡💙

🏀📊 Probability came to life in math class today! Students played Around the World Basketball and recorded the results of each shot from every position around the court.
Using the data they collected, students calculated **experimental probabilities**, compared them to **theoretical probabilities**, and worked together to determine which shots had the highest and lowest chances of success. A fun, hands-on way to see probability in action! #MathInAction #Probability #TigerPride 🏀✨

🌍📏 Mrs. Mills’s 8th grade math students at Princeton Middle School combined technology and math skills in an exciting real-world lesson using ArcGIS mapping software!
Students explored buildings and landmarks from around the world while using digital measuring tools to determine their actual sizes. To strengthen their understanding of scale factor, students used rulers to measure the size of buildings on their computer screens and then compared those measurements to the real-world dimensions provided by the software.
Using both measurements, students calculated the scale factor between the map image and the actual structure size. This hands-on activity helped students see how math is used in real-world careers involving mapping, engineering, architecture, and technology. 🏙️🗺️
It was incredible watching students apply mathematical reasoning, measurement skills, and technology together to solve real-world problems! We are so proud of their hard work and engagement throughout this activity. 💙🧡

📊📍 Mrs. Mills’s math students at Princeton Middle School became the data points during a fun and interactive lesson on scatterplots and associations!
With a giant graph drawn on the floor, each student was given an ordered pair and used themselves as the point to create a human scatterplot. Once everyone was in place, students analyzed the graph as a whole to determine whether the data showed a positive association, negative association, or no association at all. They also identified whether the relationships were strong or weak associations.
Students then took the challenge even further by working together to create different types of scatterplots and situations, such as:
📈 Strong positive associations
📉 Weak negative associations
⭐ Scatterplots with outliers
The teamwork, communication, and critical thinking displayed during this activity were amazing to watch! Hands-on learning like this helps students truly visualize and understand math concepts in a memorable way. 💙🧡
