Hello LMS families! We have a couple of announcements. We have some repairs being done to our gym floor. With that being said, for the rest of this week, students will enter and be dismissed from the cafeteria. Please be patient as pick up may be a little slower than normal. Tutoring for Thursday, April 6 is cancelled and Friday, April 7 is a two hour early dismissal. Have a great evening!
LMS parents, we are needing to get a count as to how many students plan to attend our summer Thrive program. A letter went home earlier in the week with this information. Our summer program is June 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, and 23. Regional bus transportation will be provided. Please return the form by Tuesday morning. You may also call the school to let us know. The lunch menu for Monday is marinated meatballs, garlic bread, tossed salad, corn on the cob, and fruit. Have a great weekend!

Good evening LMS families! The Krispy Kreme donuts from the 5th grade fundraiser will be delivered tomorrow. Pick up time is from 12:30-3:00. Please make arrangements to pick them up during that time frame.
LMS parents, this is a friendly reminder that we will have a PTO meeting today at 2:30. We hope you will join us. If your child is a pick up, feel free to call the school and we will keep them in the cafeteria so you can park and join us. Bring a friend and help us plan our end of year fun day! See you soon!
Good evening LMS families! We have some important information and reminders for you. First, tutoring for grades 3-5 is only on Mondays now. K-2 will continue to follow their Monday and Thursday schedule. Next, the money for the 5th grade calendars for their field trip is due Wednesday, March 31. Please send in any money collected with their calendar. We also need a baby picture for all 5th graders. The picture will be returned to you. The Easter sucker order forms and money are due on Friday.
Finally, Your child is bringing home an informational letter from our PTO today. We will be having a meeting tomorrow at 2:30. We will be electing new officers and planning for our school fun day. Please make plans to join us if you're available. We look forward to seeing you!
Good evening LMS families! The fifth grade class is 30 boxes short to fulfill their order for Krispy Kreme donuts. With that being said, if you would like to place an order, please call the school. Glazed are $13.50. Raspberry, lemon, kreme filled, and chocolate iced are $15.50. Donuts will be delivered next Wednesday, March 29. All proceeds benefit the fifth grade field trip to Pigeon Forge in June. Thank you for your support!

There has been a change to the lunch menu for tomorrow and Thursday. Instead of glazed carrots tomorrow, we will have green beans. The lunch menu for Thursday is PB&J, barbeque chips, carrots, fruit, and milk. Yearbook order forms will be coming home this week as well. Have a great evening!

Hello LMS families!
We are excited to share that we will finally get to begin using our new gym floor on Monday, March 20th. We are so thankful for this beautiful new floor and we want to do everything we can to protect the floor from damage. To help us maintain the floor we are asking that students only wear soft sole shoes on the floor. For example, tennis shoes, Hey Dudes or Crocs would be acceptable. Cowboy boots, or other shoes with hard soles could possibly damage the floor's finish. If a student does not have soft soles on they will not be permitted on the gym floor. Please keep this in mind as you send your child to school each day. Students can keep an older pair of shoes in their locker, if needed. Students will return to entering and exiting the school each day through the locker room and gymnasium. Thanks for all you do to support your child and our school!

Good evening LMS families! Tomorrow is our Pennies for patients fundraiser. Students may pay $1.00 to wear a hat or holiday head gear. All procedds will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma society to help children fighting cancer. Also, tomorrow is a two hour early dismissal.

Good evening LMS families! Make plans to drop in and join us anytime between 3:00-5:00 tomorrow evening (3-14-23) for our Title I parent involvement session. Families will visit their children’s classrooms where teachers will share helpful reading tips! All students will receive a new book and treat bag. We will have cupcakes, snacks, drinks and photo booths! Students may come dressed as their favorite Dr. Seuss character to school tomorrow.

Good evening LMS families! There is a change to the lunch menu tomorrow. Instead of pig in a blankets, we will be having mac and cheese bites. Tomorrow is the last day for our canned food drive. The class that has the most cans will receive an ice cream party. Spring and class pictures will be taken Wednesday, March 15. Class pictures must be purchased in advance. Have a great evening!
