We have some information to share with you. We will not sell ice cream tomorrow due to ice cream being on the lunch menu. We ask that you please share our Little Caesar fundraiser with your friends and family this weekend. We want to make this a successful sale and remember the student who sells the most, gets to pie a participating staff member of their choice. Our after school Bible club will meet on Wednesdays. Students participating must have a signed permission slip. This will open up for Kindergarten students as well. A permission slip will be sent home with them soon.
After reading and learning about Johnny Appleseed, we made apple hats, apples out of play-doh that we made, and ended the day with some applesauce and apple juice. 🍎

Good evening! This is Mrs. Taylor from Lashmeet Matoaka School. Our PTO is starting a Little Caesars pizza kit fundraiser. Your child will be bringing home a brochure today. Please help us by selling these awesome kits to your family and friends. Orders and money will be due Friday, October 14, 2022. Make checks payable to LMS PTO. Students that sell 10 or more kits will receive an ice cream party. The top seller will get to "pie" a staff member of their choice. Thank you for your continued support!

Good evening! We have a change to the lunch menu for tomorrow. We will have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chips, veggies, fruit, and milk. Also, we want to have a little fun tomorrow since there is a big football game tomorrow evening between West Virginia University and Virginia Tech. We would like for students and staff to wear the colors of their favorite team competing in tomorrow's game. We will count and see how many fans of each team we have. We hope to see everyone in blue and gold or maroon and orange.
This is a reminder from Lashmeet Matoaka School. The Bible club, which is first through fifth grade, will begin next Wednesday, September 28.

Good evening! Just a couple of reminders for this week. We will have a PTO meeting on Thursday, September 15 at 5:00 P.M. All are welcome to attend! Friday, September 16 is a scheduled 2 hour early dismissal.

In honor of September 11 and Constitution Day on September 17, we will wear red, white, and blue to honor our Country on Thursday, September 15. On Friday, September 16, we will honor childhood cancer awareness month by wearing gold or yellow.
Just a reminder, the morning drop off time is 7:05 A.M. or when Scotty Barlow, bus 640 drops off. The locker room door will open when students can come in. If you arrive before 7:05, you must stay with your child until that time. Also, please remember you cannot pass vehicles in the loop. You must wait until the vehicle in front of you pulls out. Today is the last day the Lashmeet Matoaka School Facebook group will be used. Beginning tomorrow, we will only use the Lashmeet Matoaka School Facebook page. This is so we can post one time and it will go to multiple outlets such as social media, text alerts, and phone calls. Please remind your child or children about the county dress code policy. This will be posted to the school’s Facebook page and it was sent home at the beginning of the year in the student handbook. We have some upcoming dates for you to remember. Thursday, Sept 15 there will be a PTO meeting at 5:00. We will not sell popcorn this Thursday due to running out of supplies. They are on order and we will be ready to start back on Thursday, September 22. On September 28, the Bible club will start. Make sure your child brings in their permission form for the Bible club if they plan to participate. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
