Dear Buccaneer Families,

This is Dr. Miear, your principal, with an important reminder regarding upcoming athletic physicals and immunizations for all students and for our 6th-grade students before they enter 7th grade.

On Thursday, May 21st, Bluefield Middle School is partnering with the Mercer County Health Department to provide two important services:

1. Sports Physicals: We are offering sports physicals for any student planning to participate in athletics during the upcoming 2026–2027 school year.
2. Required Immunizations: We are offering the required immunizations for our upcoming 7th-grade students. Please note that any rising 7th grader participating in sports or band activities this summer must have their 7th-grade immunizations and physical on file at the school before they will be allowed to participate.

Sports physical and immunization packets have already been sent home with students. If your child is participating, please remember that all forms must be signed by a parent or guardian. Additionally, please ensure that you complete the insurance section on the immunization form.

All completed forms must be returned to the school prior to Thursday, May 21st.
