Today Bluefield High School and Princeton Senior High School collaborated on a wonderful project!
Students collaborated to write and direct original play scripts using children’s books. The project was an inclusive cross county collaboration, where students of all ability levels worked together to meet a common goal. The idea was to promote collaboration, inclusiveness, and show learning can be fun!
Bluefield and Princeton High students enjoyed working together creating new stories they shared with our friends from Glenwood, Princeton Primary, and Bluefield Middle Schools.

Bluefield High School:
Congratulations to the Science Bowl team for securing 4th place at the West Virginia Science Bowl competition.
West Virginia Science Bowl consisted of 24 teams of four students answering questions about math and science. Teams must finish in the top 2 teams of their division before competing in an 8-team double-elimination bracket. Teams are invited to the competition by placing in the top 3 at their regional competition.
The Bluefield Science Bowl team, led by team Captain Nathan Yost, won four out of five games in the first round. They then defeated George Washington High School before falling to Morgantown team 2, then they eliminated Oak Hill High School. Bluefield lost to 3rd place Wheeling Park High School. The Bluefield High School Science Department was awarded $300.
Bluefield qualified for West Virginia Science Bowl by placing first in the RESA 1 competition at Concord University in February.
