
Good Morning Bluefield High School Families!
We did have a medical emergency at Bluefield High School that did result in the Bluefield Rescue Squad being called to the school. Members of the Bluefield Police Department did respond also.
All is well and we are having a great day at BHS!

Bluefield High School looks amazing and is ready for the 22-23 school year. Thank you to our awesome summer custodial staff for getting the building ready for our staff and students!!

Bluefield High School,
This is just a reminder that on August 25th, Bluefield High will have Parent Conferences and 9th Grade Orientation. The Schedule will be as follows:
8am - 9:30am - 12th Grade Parent Conferences
9:30am - 11am - 11th Grade Parent Conferences.
11:30am - 1pm - 10th Grade Parent Conferences.
The Upperclass Parent Conferences will be floating times. You can come anytime during your designated times.
1:00pm - 3:30pm - 9th Grade Orientation.
9th Grade Orientation will begin at 1pm in the auditorium. All 9th Grade parents and students are ask to be in the auditorium by 1pm. After the orientation in the auditorium, students will have an opportunity to tour the school and meet the teachers!

As we prepare to return to school on August 26th, here are some Back to School activities that we hope all of you all can enjoy!!
August 18 - Painting of the Beavers on the road to Mitchell Stadium. Will begin at 3:30 at Bluefield High School.
August 18-19 - Parking Spots will be sold at Bluefield High School. Must have a valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance. Spots will be $60. You can still purchase those spots next week also.
August 22-25 - The City of Bluefield will be hosting Beaver Graham activities downtown with a carnival and other great activities.
August 25th - Freshman Orientation 1-3:30 in the BHS Auditorium.
August 25 - Parade showcasing BHS Athletics, Band, and Clubs at 6pm with Meet the Beavers following at 6:45pm at Chicory Square.
August 26 - First Day of School
August 26 - Beaver Graham game!

Cheer tryouts will be August 8th - 10th at Bluefield High School.
The schedule will be as follows:
Monday 3-5pm
Tuesday 3-5pm
Wednesday tryouts at 5pm
Must have:
Completed WVSSAC physical
Proof of insurance
Seniors proof of immunizations
2.0GPA for eligibility

Beaver Nation:
Fall Sports will begin on Monday, August 1, 2022, with the exception of Volleyball and Cheer, which will begin on August 8th. Those fall sports include the following sports:
Football
Cheer
Volleyball
Golf
Girls Soccer
Boys Soccer
Times and locations will be announced later this week.
Reminder that you must have a 2.0 GPA along with a physical and proof of insurance to participate.
