Today, Ed Toman along with some Central Office staff and board members
surprised our new Mercer County Schools Teacher of the Year, Laura Presley of Princeton Senior High School!
A beloved ELA teacher, Mrs. Presley is known for her engaging, student-centered classroom, innovative programs like Bookapalooza, and her strong mentorship of new teachers across Mercer County and beyond. She was so excited, she immediately FaceTimed her parents with the good news, and her husband, Chris Presley, who also teaches at PSHS, joined in the celebration.
Mrs. Presley will now represent Mercer County in the running for West Virginia Teacher of the Year. We are so proud!
