State Assessments are administered to all students in Grades 3-8 and Grade 11, regardless of 504, Special Education, Education, or Virtual status.
These assessments help educators gauge academic progress and program effectiveness.
For Grade 11 students, the SAT School Day provides a college reportable score at no cost to the student or family.
SAT School Day-All High School Juniors
-Students will assess in Reading, Writing and Language, and Mathematics
April 15, 16, and 17, 2025
West Virginia General Summative Assessment-All Students in Grades 3-8
-Students will assess in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. Grades 5 and 8 will also complete Science
School test dates will vary. The window is April 7 through May 23, 2025.
West Virginia Alternate Summative Assessment-1% Population Students in Grades 3-8 and Grade 11
-Students will assess in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Grades 5, 8, and 11 will also complete Science.
School test dates will vary; however, the district window is April 7 through May 16, 2025.
*All students are required to test as there is no opt-out in the state of West Virginia
*Accommodations will be provided per the student IEP, 504, or EL Plan
*Results will be released to parents at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year
