Friendly Reminder:
Derby Day is this Wednesday!!! 🎉🎉
We can't wait to see our Stallions in their most dapper attire! 👒🐎

Today Mr. Suroski's class celebrated Ms. Foy! She has completed her Praxis (teacher qualification) tests and her hours needed for student teaching! We could not be more proud and are excited to say we'll get to keep her around a bit longer as she becomes a substitute! Graduation is right around the corner for her! We love you Ms. Foy!

Friendly reminder:
I-Ready Testing this week. Please do not log in to I-Ready from home this week.

Help spread the word to all our upcoming Stallions!
Come check out your new school! 🎉🎉🎉

We are so excited to announce Straley's 2024 Teacher of the Year- Makayla Thorne!
Mrs. Thorne will represent Straley in the county competition held at the end of the month!
We are very proud of her and thankful for all she does for Straley School!

Save the Date, Families!
Our 3rd Annual Derby Day at Straley is just 2 weeks away!! 💙🐴💙

Just a reminder, we had a conflict with the March 22 and April 11 dates for the dance and need to pick a new date.
The sidewalk in front of Straley was supposed to be completed during spring break and is still a work in progress. We can’t really pick a date for the dance until we know that we can safely dismiss all the dance attendees. Once the sidewalk is complete we will set a date!
Sorry for any confusion!

Due to the lack of interest in the Spring Fling Dance and King and Queen fundraiser, we have postponed the events to a later date! Any money that has been turned in so far will be used for the dance at that time. Sorry Stallions!

Our Spring Fling is just around the corner! We'll also be crowing our King and Queen at the dance!

Celebrating School Social Worker Week!
A huge shoutout and heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing school social worker, Mrs. Laura Suroski! We can’t let this week pass without expressing our gratitude for the incredible work she does every day to support our students and create a positive school environment. Her dedication, compassion, and ability to make a difference in the lives of our students does not go unnoticed.
From offering a listening ear to providing invaluable guidance, she play a crucial role in shaping the well-being of our school community. Mrs. Suroski’s commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive space for everyone is truly inspiring.
Let's take a moment to recognize Mrs. Suroski and all school social workers for their unwavering support and the positive impact they make on the lives of students and families.
Happy School Social Worker Week, Mrs. Suroski!

Hello Straley families, We have decided to cancel the after school student council field trip to the nursing home scheduled for December 12th due to wide spread sickness at the home. We will be rescheduling the visit for a later time. Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience.

In light of the recent events affecting the students and staff at MVES, we're wearing blue tomorrow in support.

Straley Parents, this is a reminder that we have our Candy Land Code event at Straley tonight from 5:30-7:00.
We will have a brief presentation at 5:30 for parents covering ways to access programs on your child’s computer and how to help them at home. We have fun experiments, coding, and robots that students can utilize to work on science and computer science skills. Students will earn a ticket to the candy buffet by exploring all of these learning opportunities! We hope to see you there!
