Allison—known to all of us as “Allie”—has proudly served Mercer County Schools for 12 years. Her career has taken her through multiple service roles, each one shaping her into the exceptional ECCAT aide she is today. She began as a substitute cook for county, later becoming a custodian at PVHS. From there, she transitioned to Princeton Primary School, where she served as a half‑time special needs aide and half‑time secretary.
Allie first joined Spanishburg Elementary in Kindergarten, returned to Princeton Primary to support their Kindergarten team, and eventually came back home to us when the PreK aide position opened. It didn’t take long to see that PreKindergarten is where Allie truly shines.
Allie has a natural gift for working with our youngest learners. She brings the perfect blend of nurturing care and professional skill—being a “mom” to the little ones who need comfort, and an “encourager” to those still learning to believe in themselves. She understands the developmental needs of early childhood, and she approaches each day with joy, patience, and unwavering dedication.
Most of all, Allie is deeply committed to her “babies” and to Spanishburg Elementary. Her love for her work and her students is evident in everything she does. Mrs. Donna Pennington, Prek teacher, says this about Allie. “Allie has made me feel welcome from the very first day here at Spanishburg. She is truly one of the best assistants I have ever worked with. She has a natural gift for working with our youngest learners, and her calm, caring approach makes such a difference in our classroom.
Allie also makes my job easier every single day. She handles so many important tasks—attendance, ice cream money, planners, excuses, permission slips, and more—with accuracy and reliability. She communicates comfortably with our parents and regularly checks in on students when they are absent, which builds strong connections between home and school.
She is amazing, and because of her support, I am able to focus more fully on planning and teaching. We work as a true team, and I deeply value her skills, her knowledge of our school, and her understanding of our community. I am genuinely thankful for the opportunity to work alongside her.”
Allie is a golden heart to our PreK program—and a true asset to our school community.
