Congratulations to Mrs. Woodring and our THREE Golden Horseshoe winners! Joanna, Taylor and Caleb will be honored as knights of the Golden Horseshoe at the WV Culture Center in Charleston, WV for having demonstrated exceptional knowledge of West Virginia history on the state administered exam.
Mrs. Wimmer's and Mrs. Underwood's 6th Grade ELA classes completed an activity to display the characterization of the main characters from the novel "Restart" by Gordon Korman. Their creativity is amazing!!
PVMS is holding our annual Career Day today, May 10th!! There will be several emergency vehicles and personnel on campus participating.

PVMS will hold a clinic for sports physicals and 7th grade required immunizations on Monday, 5/13 8am The immunizations are for those moving up to 7th grade.
Packets will be sent home. If your child wants to participate, they need to have forms completed and signed by a parent/guardian by Friday, May 10th.

Mrs. Pettus's English class celebrated the end of their poetry unit with Poetry Cafe! Students enjoyed snacks and reading their original poems.

Mrs. Mitchem’s Science Class
Mrs. Mitchem’s class took advantage of the nice weather to conduct an experiment on transpiration. The students collected water from the bags hanging on the tree branches and measured the results. Cool! 😎
Mrs. Mitchem’s class has put chicken eggs are in the incubator and the countdown has begun! We are all excited to see these little 🐣 hatch in a few weeks. Stay tuned! Thank you Mrs. Samosky for the eggs! 🥚
Practice for students interested in trying out for the 2024-2025 flag corp.
Students need be members of 6th or 7th grade band or plan to be in 7th or 8th grade band next year.
Practice will be from 3:30 - 5:00 on the following date:
May 6 and 10
May 13 and 15
May 20 and 22
Tryouts will be May 29
Students trying out will need to have a current WVSSAC physical and bring a copy of your insurance card.
Save the date!! PVMS will host a Spring Fling Dance on Friday, May 17th, for our students only.
School dress code applies, and feel free to dress casually or more formal.
Admission is $5, and tickets will be sold as a presale during the week of the dance and at the door.
Concessions will be sold.
