Beginning next week, PikeView Middle School students will be participating in state testing. Throughout the first two weeks of May, with the exception of Monday May 2nd and the following Tuesday, May 11th, which is Election Day, various classes will be testing. Every student will complete a Writing, Reading, and Math test. Science testing will be completed for 8th grade only.
We want to remind all of our students to come to school with a fully charged computer. Also it is important to get a good night's sleep before any day of testing. Be prepared to do your very best!
Teachers have schedules for when their classes will be testing. Have your student ask their teachers about specific days they will be testing. If you have another questions, please call the school.

In 1998, Children’s Memorial Flag Day was created to increase public awareness of violence against children. The flag, created by a 16-year-old student in Alameda, CA, is red with blue, paper-doll-like figures of children holding hands.
The fourth Friday of every April is designated as Children’s Memorial Flag Day. Created by the Child Welfare League of America, this day of remembrance raises public awareness about the national tragedy of violence against children.
This week, PikeView Middle School joined communities nationwide by flying the Children’s Memorial Flag to honor and remember children who have lost their lives due to violence.
