Next week is Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October. All Mercer County students and staff are encouraged to wear red next Tuesday, October 25th in support of this campaign.

As the first quarter closes, it's time for a PBIS Behavior Incentive. On Monday October 31st, all students with an "A" in conduct for the entire first quarter will be treated to a free performance of "Oz" by the Pikeview Middle School Choir! This event will take place during the school day.
October is Bullying Prevention Month and we are encouraging our students to take a stand against bullying. Bullying is not permitted or tolerated at PVMS. Make sure you treat others the way you want to be treated. If you see something, say something to an adult, a principal, secretary, teacher, counselor, etc. Take a stand against bullying!!!

Reminder for our PVMS Panthers: Our Science Fair will be this Tuesday, October 18th in Mrs. Mitchem’s room (room 315). Students may begin bringing projects Monday after school until 5pm or Tuesday morning before 8:15am. Mrs. Mitchem will be available to answer your questions or assist with paperwork at that time.
Judging will begin at 8:30.
