Princeton Primary School Celebrates 25 Years of Excellence and Community

Princeton Primary School marked a major milestone with a heartwarming celebration honoring 25 years of learning, laughter, and legacy. The school’s beloved tiger cub mascot received a special birthday tribute as families, friends, and alumni filled the hallways with joy, memories, and pride.

The event featured a commemorative timeline showcasing the school’s journey since its founding, drawing admiration from guests and sparking nostalgia among longtime supporters. Among the honored attendees were three former principals—Mrs. JoAnna Fredeking, Dr. Lori Comer, and Dr. Ernie Adkins—who shared reflections on their time at PPS and the enduring spirit of the school.

Original staff members returned to join the festivities, standing alongside current educators who continue to shape the lives of students every day. The evening began with a spirited performance by the PPS Show Choir, directed by Vicky Bradley, singing the school favorite “Tiger Cubs Roar!”

Principal Kelli Stanley delivered a heartfelt speech, celebrating the school’s legacy and its role as a cornerstone of the community. “PPS has always been more than a school; it is a family, a tradition, and a place where learning is filled with joy and fun,” she shared.

Special guests included Mercer County Schools Superintendent Mr. Ed Toman, Assistant Superintendent Ms. Rosemary Mitchell, and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Ernie Adkins. The school also welcomed back former PPS student and Miss West Virginia USA, Ms. Erin Wellman.

The celebration concluded with a joyful rendition of “Happy Birthday” and a ceremonial cake cutting, symbolizing the bright future ahead for Princeton Primary School.

Happy 25th, PPS—here’s to many more years of roaring success!
