The softball game scheduled with Pocahontas County today has been canceled for today.
Tonight's softball game has been canceled due to field conditions and we are working to reschedule the game.
Come out Saturday and get your car washed! We will be located at the car wash on Rt. 20 just before you reach the fire department. We will be there 10 am-12pm. Accepting donations.

Mrs. Nelson's English class is reading the Hunger Games. They took some time to make learning fun! With food being such a significant motif in "The Hunger Games," we explored recipes that had either literal or figurative relevance to the book. Yesterday, we brought some of those to life! Overall the students did a really good job with both cooking and cleaning and I'm super proud of them- they seemed to have a blast!

They defeated Montcalm in game one. They are playing Wahama now.
They will face Mt. View and St. Albans tomorrow.

IT'S GAMEDAY! Both softball and baseball are back in action tonight! Head out and catch the baseball team as they travel to Bluefield at 5:30 pm. Also, come out and support the softball team as they travel across the county line to take on the Summers County Bobcats at 5:30.
The Chick-fil-a Leader Academy is raffling off Easter Baskets. It is a $1 per chance.
The chances will be sold before school starts, during both lunches, and after school. They will have a table sat up near the office.
Free Sports Physicals!
These physicals will cover all summer and all school year next year. All student-athletes must have a new physical dated after 5/1/2024 for summer activities and for school year 24-25. This option is free! If you choose not to participate, you will need to arrange one on your own in order to work out with your teams after the school year ends.
Home Spring sporting event tickets can now be purchased digitally! Simply scan the QR code or go to the link below. Tickets are $6 county wide to all sporting events. GoFan does have a processing fee.

Both softball and baseball are back in action after opening day victories last night. Come out and catch the baseball team as they host Nicholas County at 5:30 pm. Also, come out and support the softball team as they travel across the interstate to take on the Princeton Lady Tigers at 5:30.
We hope to livestream both games tonight. Our setup is a bit different and we are working out the issues to bring you these events.

Be Clear on Gameday for SAFETY!
A new clear bag procedure and policy has been implemented for athletic events going forward. The attached poster outlines what can and cannot be brought into an athletic event on campus.
We ask that you only bring necessary bags to any athletic event. Only clear bags will be permitted.
Any bags that are not clear and are needed for medical issues are subject to proper inspection.
A big THANK YOU to our community volunteers for conducting mock interviews for our students during our career event last Thrusday. Concord University, U.S. Army, and Amanda Cole were all in attendance and provided their expertise. We appreciate you spending your time with our students.
