Mercer Elementary Welcomes New Staff for an Exciting School Year

Mercer Elementary is thrilled to welcome a wonderful group of new staff members for the upcoming school year. Each of them brings unique talents and dedication that will enrich the lives of our students and strengthen our school community.

This year, we are excited to introduce Ms. Lisa Blankenship as our new Art Literacy Specialist, bringing creativity and imagination into our classrooms. We also welcome Ms. Kimberly Harvey, who joins us as a 4th grade teacher.

We are happy to have familiar faces returning as well. Ms. Reba Jesse will be back subbing in 3rd grade, Ms. Donna Leippi returns to one of our autism classrooms, and Ms. Crystal George is back in another autism classroom.

Additionally, we are welcoming several new aides who will play a vital role in supporting our students. Joining the 3rd grade team are Ms. Pam Wellman, , Ms. Jami Rust, Ms. Desiree Pettrey, and Ms. Kelly Dobbins. Our special education team is also growing with the addition of Ms. Amber Jones and Ms. Grace Weakley.

Finally, we are delighted to introduce Ms. Sally Lester, who will be serving as our brand new school counselor, providing care and support for all students.

Mercer Elementary is grateful for the passion and commitment these educators bring. We are confident this is going to be a great year filled with growth, learning, and success. Welcome to the Mercer family!
