Old Business:
Safety concerns were addressed. An intercom was installed on the playground. This was requested at the last meeting. Enrollment was discussed and ways to promote Melrose to increase our declining enrollment. Kindergarten will make a video to promote kindergarten registration.
Updated on our ON WATCH cell in special education and what we are doing to increase their scores.
NAEP testing was discussed and updated information shared.
New Business:
The county has requested our “wish list” for the building. The areas requested were a sidewalk with awning leading to the gym, updated restrooms, updating outside of outside classrooms, competition of outdoor classroom with matching grant, and kitchen upgrade. We also requested new desk and chairs for grades 3-5.
End of year activities were discussed and planned.
