Our mission is to provide technical and academic skills to prepare all graduates to be life-long learners and productive global citizens in a technological society.
The HVAC Technician program of study focuses on careers that will build a knowledge base and technical skills in all aspects of heating and cooling. By completing this program, students will be able to work with electricity, circuits, controls, and heat pumps for an entry-level installer or service assistant.
Instruction and career training consists of 400 clock hours completed in 10 months, pending Mercer County Board approval. The adult part-time HVAC Technician program is nationally accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE).
Instruction and training will include classroom lectures and discussion, laboratory demonstrations and practice, as well as preparation for certification tests. Students will obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to perform heating and cooling diagnosis and installation.
