A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our very own, Mr. Riffe for being the Glenwood School 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year!! ❤️🖤❤️🖤 Mr. Riffe obtained a degree in Elementary Education/Middle School Social Studies from Bluefield State in 2013. He went on to get his Masters Degree in Education Leadership from Concord University in 2015. He started coaching football at Glenwood 14 years ago- 3 years as an assistant and the past 11 seasons as the Head coach. He helped restart the baseball program and was an assistant and head baseball coach for almost a decade. He has been teaching at Glenwood for the past 11 years. Mr. Riffe has been teaching Social Studies for the past 8 years. His favorite part of teaching is building relationships with his students and sharing his love of Social Studies. His advice for his students and anyone thinking of becoming an educator is to be passionate about what you do. “Whatever is worth doing at all, is worth doing well.” Mr. Riffe is a true asset to our whole entire school.
