Santa and his helpers made a stop at a Sensory Santa event at Bluefield High School. The event, provided and sponsored by the Henkes family and the Skylar Henkes Foundation, provides a slower paced, quieter Santa visit for individuals in the area with medically complex and exceptional needs. This year's event welcomed 15 families.
Student volunteers from Bluefield High Schoo provided crafts and snacks for everyone to enjoy.
The event is held each year. A similar event is held in the spring with the Easter Bunny.
