Public school is a great place for kids to learn and adapt to their social surroundings.  Here are ten reasons why public education is great for our kids!

Public schools have amazing teachers!  Teachers are life-long, dedicated educators who devote their lives to children.  Not to mention, they have a high level of education, experience, and commitment.

There is a strong sense of community in public schools.  Often times, public schools are the heart of their communities, and they are more than a place for children to learn.  They host events, sports, clubs, and invite the community to come as well.  Also, there is a historical component for many public schools, where everyone knows the teachers, and families send children to the same school for generations.

Public schools offer increased educational choices for students, such as a variety of classes and curriculum.  Some of those choices include foreign languages, Vo-Tech options, arts and humanities, independent studies, and advanced placement courses.

Additionally, public schools offer diversity, so students learn how to interact with a variety of personalities and cultures.  Therefore, they are well-adjusted to work with others as an adult.

There is a higher requirement for fiscal responsibility in public education.  In public schools, all spending must go toward educating children…period.

The schools are reliable, and many have been here for years.  Even when (or if) a school closes, it only happens after public discussions.

Public educators are committed to their students.  We love and accept all children and have faith in their success.

The community has ownership in public schools, and your friends, neighbors, and acquaintances work there.  In fact, public schools even take the extra step having parental involvement through Title I, PTOs, leadership teams, and councils.

Public schools provide endless amenities to students including pencils, tissues, and supplies. Of course, we are happy to do it!

Finally, you can trust that your child is getting a high-quality education from invested individuals in public education.  Believe me when I say that our teachers value your child!
