Well, it was a wild day at Bluewell School today!  We saw lots of cheetahs surrounding one zebra, dinosaurs, yetis, and countless other creatures.  Yep, students went all out on Animal Print Day for Dr. Suess’ “If I Ran the Zoo.”

Truly, mostly girls wore animal print today.  However, many boys wore their animal shirts that represented real animals, extinct animals, and fictional animals.  Honestly, this is the first time we’ve done an Animal Print Day, and it may have turned into a favorite.  I wasn’t sure if I arrived at school or if I took a wrong turn and landed in a zoo!

Animals and kids go together like Timon and Pumbaa!  Children are so intrigued by animals, and they have an honest love for them.  We definitely saw this love and fascination today!  However, tomorrow brings an all-time favorite day for adults and kids alike…the beloved Pajama Day!

So, be sure to come dressed in your comfy pajamas tomorrow.  I’m not totally against slippers either.  We are looking forward to the final Read Across America Week celebration tomorrow as we snuggle up and read together.  Watch for tomorrow’s article, because I know MANY will participate in Pajama Day.
