Today, we continued Read Across America Week (Dr. Suess week) at Bluewell School, and we certainly got wacky! Today was Wacky Wednesday for Dr. Suess' "Wacky Wednesday."
Kids came dressed in mismatched outfits, fuzzy and wacky hats, embellished hair, and brightly colored from head to toe. Also, many wore crazy socks, since Crazy Sock Day was cancelled yesterday due to the power outage. Therefore, we also saw decorative socks, mismatched socks, or even neon socks! Many students looked like the walk straight off the pages of a Dr. Suess book.
We always enjoying seeing the kids’ creative and style on Wacky Wednesday. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, a student comes with pipe cleaners in their hair, multi-colored glasses, or sky-high hairdos. One year, a student came with an entire bird’s nest in her hair, and it included the bird!
Keep in mind that we are celebrating all week long. The remaining days include:
Animal Print Day on Thursday;
Pajama Day on Friday.
We are looking forward to the continued celebrations this week, as we spread our love for reading!
