Today is National Random Acts of Kindness Day, and we have a great story for you! But, first, here is a little bit about National Random Acts of Kindness Day.
February 17 marks National Random Acts of Kindness Day. Random Acts of Kindness helps make a kinder world. Also, it shows that there is no limit to the amount of good deeds we can bring to others.
Bluewell School students had lessons this week that focused on kindness. Also, they were challenged today to express random acts of kindness toward their friends and teachers.
The teachers are noting the students' acts of kindness, and we will link them together in a paper chain by next week. However, Bluewell School took this great day another step.
Bluewell School staff presented Brushfork School staff with a surprise lunch today! The lunch included fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, macaroni and cheese, rolls, and cookies.
Indeed, it was a pleasant surprise, and a much deserved one! All teachers and staff have worked so hard the last couple of years, it was nice to spread some love in our community.
Of course, Bluewell School staff were not left out. Dr. Grose made sure they had a lunch too, and it included all the same items. So, all school staff in our local community were well fed today!
In the next few days, we will post a video to our YouTube channel. This video will show all the planning and preparation done to execute the surprise. You will get a behind-the-scenes look!
Continue to follow Bluewell School on Facebook and YouTube. Be sure to like our social media sites and hit that notification bell, so you know once a new video is posted to YouTube. Happy National Random Acts of Kindness Day!
