We are so proud of these three ladies! Megan Grose, Chloe Riffe, and Ava Grose were all honored at the Mercer County Young Writers Ceremony last Friday.
Ava Grose wrote "On the Wings of Owls." Her story was about her Great Aunt Susie who recently passed away. She and Susie shared a love for owls, and their characteristics. Ava won first place at the county level for fourth grade.
Chloe Riffe's story was tited "The Big Fall." It was about a gymnast who fell during one of her tricks. She had to exhibit great perseverance in order to overcome her fear. Chloe won second place at the county level for third grade.
Megan Grose wrote "Watermelon Craziness." In her essay, she ate and became a watermelon! It's hard to say what happens when you become what you eat! Megan won first place in the county for second grade. Bonus! She also won first place in her division, and she moves on to the state level!
Congratulations to these fantastic writers, we are excited to read more stories you conjure up!
