Athens School is excited to announce Audra Shrewsbury has been selected as our Service Personnel of the Year. As a speech therapy aide, Audra is a calm and patient individual, always giving students the time they need to express themselves without rushing or interrupting. She creates a supportive environment where students feel comfortable and confident, offering gentle encouragement as they work through speech challenges. Friendly and approachable, Audra greets each child with a smile and makes every session feel welcoming. When we have a 3 year old drop in student, Audra ensures the student and parents feel comfortable by showing them the speech room beforehand and answering any questions the parents may have. Her dedication shines through in their hardworking nature, whether she is engaging with staff and students, organizing the clothing closet, or decorating a bulletin board. She goes above and beyond to ensure that each staff member and student feels supported and celebrated throughout the day.
