DICTIONARY PROJECT CEREMONY
HELD AT STRALEY SCHOOL

Straley School third grade students received personal copies of Webster’s Student Dictionary.  Although only one school hosted the Dictionary Project, every third grade student in Mercer County received a dictionary, compliments of a unique collaboration between Bluefield State College, Concord University, and the Bluefield and Princeton Rotary Clubs.

BOARD OF EDUCATION GOALS

 
 

GOAL ONE

 During the 2017-2018 school year, students will demonstrate improvement in academic achievement and performance in all areas of the curriculum.

 
     
 

GOAL TWO

Through administrative leadership, a school climate and culture that promotes the mental and emotional health of students and staff as well as an environment where all students and staff feel safe will be evident in all schools and in every classroom in Mercer County.

 
     
 

GOAL THREE

All classrooms in Mercer County will be student centered with all teachers  utilizing research-based instructional strategies to ensure that students develop then master the competencies and skills necessary for success in our changing world.
