Placement Services
MCTEC has Placement Services to assist students in finding permanent jobs. Students are not guaranteed employment. The purpose of the Placement office is to assist. Students must assume the major responsibility for securing employment. Students are provided employability skills training in all programs. Students may schedule an appointment with their program instructor, or the Student Services Facilitator, to discuss job search strategies.
Each instructor will maintain program specific employers relative to their field of industry, notifying students of employment opportunities that arise throughout the year. In addition, each program instructor maintains contact with completers to update placement records to measure the success of the institution in achieving its mission. This data is collected on a shared Excel document through Microsoft OneDrive, and the Student Support Services Facilitator uses this information to complete various reports throughout the year.
The Student Support Services Facilitator will maintain an email network between the staff, faculty, students, and various businesses in order to disseminate information to appropriate channels.
