2013 Scholarships Available Through Community Foundation of the Virginias

Alfred and Shirley Wampler Caudill Scholarship Fund

Community Foundation of the Virginias, Inc.

This donor-advised fund provides scholarship assistance to the children of employees of Bluefield College, Bluefield State or any other college in the area.  Application and guidelines are available with the guidance counselor or at the Community Foundation’s website:  www.cfvinc.org

 

East River Mountain H.O.G. #5432 Fund

Community Foundation of the Virginias, Inc.

To provide scholarship assistance to graduating seniors of Bluefield and/or Graham High Schools who are children of emergency service employees who lost their live while in the line of duty (firemen, policemen, rescue, military).  Award varies depending upon earnings of the fund. E.R. Gillespie Scholarship Fund

Community Foundation of the Virginias, Inc.

To provide scholarship assistance to high school graduates from Bluefield, Graham,Princeton and Tazewell with preference given to families or descendents of an affiliate of Shell Oil. Award:  Approx. $500.  Application and guidelines are available with the guidance counselor or at the Community Foundation’s website:  www.cfvinc.org

 

C. B. and Ora Hunter Hancock Family Scholarship Fund

Community Foundation of the Virginias, Inc.

This fund was established in honor and memory of the Hancock Family to provide freshman scholarship assistance to graduating seniors of Bluefield High School who will attend college full-time. Lindsay Rebekah Haun Memorial Scholarship Fund

Community Foundation of the Virginias, Inc.

This fund in memory of Lindsay Rebekah Haun is donor-advised to assist graduating seniors of Princeton Senior High School who were active in the performing arts and who will be education majors. Kammer Family Scholarship Fund

Community Foundation of the Virginias, Inc.

This scholarship was established to assist one or more graduating seniors from nine high schools including, Bluefield, Princeton, Graham, Tazewell, Bland, Pike View, Montcalm, Pocahontas, Mountain View, and Rocky Gap, who plan to attend WVU College of Agriculture and Forestry full-time.  (Curricula listing a wide variety of degrees available with the application).  Award:  Up to $1000.  Application and guidelines are available with the guidance counselor or at the Community Foundation’s website:  www.cfvinc.org

 

The Ralph H. and Shirley D. Kiser Family Scholarship Fund

Community Foundation of the Virginias, Inc.

This fund, in memory of Steve Kiser and in honor of Scott and Angela Kiser and Kim Kiser Gallins was established to help financially needy but academically prepared graduating seniors in Mercer County who plan to attend Bluefield College, Ministerial Program.  Award varies depending upon earnings of the fund. Alex Mahood Scholarship Fund

Community Foundation of the Virginias, Inc.

Donor-advised to provide scholarship assistance to graduating seniors of Bluefield High School and Graham High School. Selection made by the Civitans. Guidance Counselor has applications.

 

Joshua Lee Shutt Memorial Fund

Community Foundation of the Virginias, Inc.

This fund in memory of Joshua Lee Shutt was established to help graduates in the top 30% of their class with high moral character from Princeton Senior High School.  Award varies depending upon earnings of the fund. William G. Skewes Memorial Scholarship Fund

Community Foundation of the Virginias, Inc.

This fund was established to assist graduating seniors from Mercer, Tazewell and McDowell Counties who demonstrate high academic performance and promise as well as leadership.  Award varies depending upon earnings of the fund.  Application and guidelines are available with the guidance counselor or at the Community Foundation’s website:  www.cfvinc.org

 

The Grace Hanna and Maurice Weinberg ScholarshipFund

Community Foundation of the Virginias, Inc.

This fund was established to provide scholarship assistance for the freshman year of college to graduating seniors from Bluefield High and/or Graham High School who will attend an accredited school full-time.   Award:  Approx. $500.  Application and guidelines are available with the guidance counselor or at the Community Foundation’s website:  www.cfvinc.org
