MERCER COUNTY SCHOOLS HOLDS ANNUAL SOCIAL STUDIES FAIR


Princeton, West Virginia: November 30, 2016:  Mercer County students from seventeen elementary and middle schools competed on November 7, 2016, for coveted Mercer County Social Studies Fair medals. The event drew hundreds of people to the Mercer Mall, where students set up their displays and presented their “speeches” to pairs of judges.  Parents and hopeful students crowded the center court for the 1:00 awards ceremony. 

The following individuals and small groups won first place trophies and will advance to regional competition to be held at the Raleigh County Convention Center in Beckley on March 4, 2016:
